Logan's newest city councilman, Stewart Johnson, was given the oath of office at the beginning of the Aug. 11 meeting. Johnson was appointed by the council to replace Brian Knau, who resigned last month due to moving out of town. Mayor Mike Foutch then appointed Randy Fetter to serve as mayor pro-tem.

Dr. Jacqueline "Jackie" Thomsen moved to Woodbine on Aug. 3, 1998 and opened the doors to Thomsen Chiropractic Aug. 17, 1998. This year marks her 10th year of continuing to bring the most up-to-date chiropractic care to Woodbine. Her beginnings were humble, like most, when her doors first opened 10 years ago.

Stephanie Ross is a new addition to the elementary staff at Logan-Magnolia. Ross will be teaching elementary special needs this year, a new program at the school. According to elementary principal Jim Makey, this program enables the district to educate the kids right here that have a lot of special needs.
